My family and I were hitting the used bookstores yesterday and I added another book to my Geneva Series Commentary. It as Charles Hodge on Romans.

Here is my question. It is a 1972 British version. On the back dust jacket, it had the volumes in the series with prices (in pounds) and it had several volumes noted with an *. The * footnote said that these copies are not to be sold to the US and Canada. Genesis by Calvin was one. Why is that?

That series is published by Banner of Truth Trust and they have a North American outlet in Carlisle, PA, that is the seller and distributor on these shores. You had one of the ones from Britain, home of BTT, to be sold over there.

Peace,
Alan

Yes, I know that about BOT but still think it is unusual that all were not marked that way. Seven titles were marked not for sale in the US and the rest were not. All were listed in pounds and were printed in Britain but some were not marked with an *. So some printed in UK could be sold and some could not.

Seems like there must be some other distinction for the marking but maybe not.
