Gerald Bray's God is Love

I am currently 135 pages into Gerald Bray's systematic theology, God is Love. Has anyone else here read it? If so, what are your thoughts on the volume. FYI, sadly, Crossway published it with a second commandment violation on the front cover. :down: :(

I bought the book a few years ago, and generally agree with Schreiner's observations.

Thanks, Patrick. Just read the review and the response. While many of the practical and pastoral observations in the book are useful, I have honestly never read a book that says so much and so little at the same time (I am about 300 pages in to it). I felt much the same way about Dr Bray's book on The Church as well. Perhaps his style of writing is just not to my taste?
