Puritan Board Junior
Hello all. Me and a kind lady from another group are creating a book of Puritan Prayers to be a free alternative to the for cost offerings now available; especially for low income and over-seas Christians. What we have done is, instead of scouring miscellaneous documents to find singular prayers, we instead have put together a compendium of Prayers that were originally found in Puritan Devotionals, Catechisms, and Prayer guides. This enabled us to gather a voluminous offering, covering a myriad of topics, without having to do the in-depth research of isolating singular prayers within so much Puritan literature. Gathering these prayers took about 15 hours. The e-book now offered is in its roughest form. As it still needs to be edited before "official release." But it still may be beneficial to some now, so I posted it in case it could be of use. If you download the book, all the authors are bookmarked, and so are the individual prayers for easy finding. I do not know yet if the book is going to remain in this order, or be split up into subject rather than author; as my part was not the editing but the collecting. We are also discussing future options for physical book availability, but at a present 1100 pages, it would have to be in the range of a systematic theology type HC, instead of inexpensive PB's, and that is if we can find a print on demand who will do that; of course there is the alternative to break it up and make it a 3 volume set. But that is a step we dont need to worry about know, because that is still pretty far into the future. Below is the contents of the book, all contents within are not the works listed themselves, but only the prayers contained within those works. The link for that ebook is below. God Bless.
