Tonight I watched Rick Warren's hour long "Easter with Rick Warren" special on Fox. It will be rebroadcast tomorrow at 6 and 1 (Eastern time).
Good News - in this day and age, a full hour was devoted to the claims of Jesus Christ and the presentation of a form of the Gospel message. It did not shrink from Adam's sin, our corruption, Jesus' atoning sacrifice for us, or the need to believe upon him.
Bad News - the emphasis upon our freedom to "choose" and Arminianized emphases upon God waiting for us to make up our own minds detracted from the value of the hour.
Still, cynical comments about the motives of Fox notwithstanding, I appreciated a straight forward presentation that was not purchased time.
