Hippolytus (2nd century) noted that the Hebrews have traditionally divided the Psalms into five books and is one of the earliest Christian sources commenting on this matter. But are there any extant, post-canonical Jewish sources that recognise this? I am trying to find the earliest acknowledgement of such in extra-biblical literature.
