The Love of God, by Peter Du Moulin (1601-1684)

Peter Du Moulin (or Pierre) (1601-1684), was a Pastor in the French Reformed Church, a studied divine, scholar and a zealous Minister of the Gospel.
In this exceptionally powerful work, Du Moulin covers the immense topic of the love of God. This is not an easy task. Because of the natural man’s depravity, it is very easy to biblically understand why “Esau I hateth,” but very difficult for the thoughtful Christian to understand “Jacob I have loved.” Once a sinner is brought into the fold of Christ’s love, there are certain marks that demonstrate they are true Christians, and are not only loved of God, but have a grace-given capacity to love God back.
