How does God look upon the Wicked?

Does God hate the wicked or does He feel sorry for them and desire all of them to repent and get saved or does He only desire their destruction?
This is something that has always confused me especially when reading the OT where God states in His word that He is angry with the wicked every day or in Proverbs where He is said to laugh at the destruction of the wicked and has no pity for them. And other places where He states that He has no desire for the death of the wicked and pleads with them to turn from their sins.
When you think that at one time we were once counted as enemies of God, it is very humbling to think of how much grace He gave/gives to us and now considers us as His friends.

It does look good and I can tell a lot of time and effort went into it. I hope to order a copy next month when I can get some extra money. I would order it today if I could, but right now, it is something I have to put on hold.

Peace
