Tempus faciendi, Domine.
Interesting article on the further decline of the PC(USA). They now are down to 1.76 million members.

http://www.layman.org/pcusa-membership-declines-2013/

Adult baptisms in 2013 totaled 4,583. By comparison, adult professions of faith in the PCA were on average around 5,100 over each of the past several years.

Pray for revival and reformation. Pray the dry bones would yet live again. Wouldn't that be glorious!?!

The Layman's list shows Highland Park, but I wonder if the denomination counted it. It left the denomination, but it was not dismissed by the Presbytery, and litigation is ongoing. If they didn't count it, it would be about enough on its own to get them up to 5%.

My conclusions would be consistent with this:

Carmen Fowler LaBerge, executive editor of The Layman, points out that “those numbers do not account for churches that disaffiliated nor those situations where the presbytery sided with a minority of the membership and declared it the true church. There are several more congregations that left the PCUSA in 2013 that are not accounted for in these statistics. But the PCUSA does not acknowledge that those churches are gone.”
