Is the casting of lots lawful today?

This is an interesting view to take. Personally, it conflicts with how 2 Tim. 3:16 reads to me. Even as a Calvinist, I think “all” means all here.
I understand 2 Tim. 3:16 in light of 2 Peter 3:16: "All things in Scripture are not alike plain in themselves, nor alike clear unto all" (WCF 1.7) Or as was aptly said above:
All Scripture is profitable but not all Scripture is equally easy to interpret well.
 
But that is the OP.
This is fair, it is related to the OP, or at least the spirit of the OP as I intended it. I wasn't necessarily arguing along the lines of 'the Apostles did it, therefore we can, too'. Although, I do think there is a place for it in some exceptional circumstances as I've said elsewhere. Having listened to the sermon JW linked to in the beginning of the thread, I agree entirely with that Pastor's position.
