I have just finished reading Isaiah, and recently I have noticed how similar the books of Isaiah and John are. John is the only gospel in which Jesus makes "I am" statements, each of these statements can be traced to a reference in Isaiah. John quotes Isaiah extensively. Event the content outline is similar. Please offer any thoughts you had on this subject? What are some other parallels? I really would like to see if there is a tangible connection.
