Christian Preacher
During the 80's and 90's there was an upsurge towards reading puritan works. That's dwindling with the infiltration of secular media into our churches and homes - we are more interested in watching the latest movies for $20 in 3D to sustain our flesh, than reading the Bible, or the best Reformed books at $5 or $10 for the good of our souls. Is this good stewardship? "Redeem the time, for the days are evil," Paul tells us. With this, we would do well to remember our Reformed heritage once again. One exercise that will greatly aid our interest in the Puritans is to take time to read about their lives, and in many cases, their sufferings and deaths.

A Puritan's Mind has overhauled the Puritan Biography section with many updates, adding even some who are not puritans but worthy to be read (such as Blaise Pascal and Franciscus Gomarus). Put down the remote, grab a blanket, a cup of tea, huddle up on the couch, grab your iPad or laptop, and check out the Puritan Biography section of the site - it will cost you nothing but your time.
