C. Matthew McMahon
Christian Preacher
John Howe (1630–1706) was an English Puritan theologian who studied at Christ’s College, Cambridge, and at Magdalen College, Oxford receiving a B.A. in 1650 and M.A. in 1652. For a time, Howe was a fellow and college chaplain at Oxford.
This newly typeset and modernized work, one of Howe’s most popular which was originally published in 1674, is taken from Psalm 37:4 “Delight thyself in the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of thine Heart.”
More of us need to DELIGHT in God, instead of simply make Him our cosmic bell-hop! This is an awesome work to lift the Christian's soul.
