J.S. Bach

I am looking for a book suggestion on the life of J.S. Bach. I am mostly interested in his life more so than reading about his theories and works of music, mostly because I will probably get lost in trying to understand those subjects. Any suggestions of a biography that is heavy on his spiritual, family, and personal life and places him in the context of his time?

I brought a book on Bach at a christian bookshop a couple of years ago.
(My wife is a big fan of Bach)

The book is called J.S.Bach and is written by Calvin R. Stapert.
He is a professor of music at Calvin College Michigan.
Its a paperback book with some nice color prints in it.
Looks like a fun read but I haven't read it yet.

He has written other books on Bach as well.
