Institutes (Both Battles and Beveridge)

How can this be? Aren't these still under copyright?

Even CCEL does not have the Battles version.

I bought this a couple of years ago. It's a great resource, although I do wish I could afford Calvin on Logos. At the time I bought Pink and Spurgeon as well. I see Owen is for the same price now too, as well as Carroll, Edwards and Warfield. It's a pretty cheap way to build up, or expand, a decent library quickly.

What is wrong with CDs?

Well I would prefer books. And I don't think they are even audio CDs you can play on a CD player, are they? They seem to be software disks...

I don't like that because I don't always have access to a computer to run a program and do some reading on...

Taken from the product page - "You have found the most complete collection of John Calvin's writings ever published."

Is it just me, or is this an overstatement?

This may be accurate. Even the new Calvin Commentaries, with the Institutes included, doesn't have as much as what's included on this CD. As far as I know, there is no other single collection with as much included.
