Where Listeners Travel through Time and Around the World through the Eyes of a Child​

Lancaster, Pa. – December 7, 2022 – The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (alliancenet.org) announces a new partnership podcast launched this fall, entitled Kids Talk Church History (KTCH), a one-of-a-kind podcast where kid hosts from across the nation investigate the history of the Church often engaging with listener questions as well as interviewing special guests such as seminary professors. Produced by San Diego resident, mother, and author Simonetta Carr, KTCH can be listened to by subscribing on Apple or Google Podcasts, Podbean, Spotify, iHeartRadio, or wherever else podcasts are found, as well as at alliancenet.org/kids-talk-church-history-podcast.

“You’ll travel through time and all around the globe as you meet the people, learn about the ideas, and understand the challenges that have shaped the history of the church (and thus, the world) through the eyes of a child in this exciting new podcast,” said Alliance Executive Director Bob Brady.

“How has Jesus built and preserved His Church against all odds? Come with us on a trip through history to find the answer,” said Carr, who also writes for the “Cloud of Witnesses” column on church history at the Alliance’s placefortruth.org, and is the author of various books on church history and biographies for young readers available at the Alliance’s online store, ReformedResources.org.

Previous shows of the new podcast, which began this September, include “Why Study Church History?,” “Blandina and Persecution in the Roman Empire,” “The First Christian Nations,” “Martin Luther and the Children in His Life,” and “Why the Pilgrims Left England.”

The Bible Study Hour: Also broadcast through radio across the nation. A careful, in-depth Bible study preparing people to think and act biblically with James Montgomery Boice’s exposition of the scriptures bringing the Bible’s truth to bear on all of life.

Mortification of Spin: A casual conversation about things that count. Culturally relevant and often controversial topics are taken on in funny, thoughtful, and unpredictable ways by Rev. Todd Pruitt and Dr. Carl Trueman (professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa.).

Theology on the Go: A brief conversation about eternal truths. Pastors and theologians join Drs. Jonathan Master (president of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary) and James Dolezal to discuss important topics in thoughtful and accessible ways, illustrating how theology is relevant today.

Dr. Barnhouse & the Bible: Also broadcast through radio across the nation for over 70 years. Donald Barnhouse’s plain teaching and preaching of the Scriptures make the Bible relevant to modern man.

Every Last Word: Also broadcast through radio across the nation. Featuring the Bible teaching of Dr. Philip Ryken (president of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill.), teaches the whole Bible to address one’s whole life.

Working with Dan Doriani: Seeking to fire the imagination of Christians who long to practice their faith at work. Through conversations with the famous and the unknown, the men and women featured may be very successful, quietly faithful, or instructive in their woes. The common thread is a desire to do significant work while living by their faith and convictions.
