I arrived for the Pensacola Theological Institute at McIlwain Presbyterian Church on August 17, 1969. The front page of the newspaper had a map showing the area under a hurricane warning. Pensacola was dead center.
That afternoon, the Institute's preacher, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, delivered a sermon that has been known as "The Acid Test of the Christian Profession." That evening Camile turned west and hit Mississippi hard.
