The profundity of Luther’s direct engagement with Holy Scripture ought not to obscure the fact that he had an intimate and extensive knowledge of the works of the Church Fathers. Not only Augustine, but Origen, Jerome, and Gregory the Great feature prominently in his writings, and there are scores of references to others. There can be no doubt that the teaching of the Church Fathers also represents a significant element of Luther’s theological inheritance.

Do you think this book addresses Luther's interpretation of the Church Fathers versus that of the Catholics?

Thanks and blessings!

Judged by what I have read thus far and by the contents, the answer appears to be "no." If there is further discussion of that question later on in the book, I will let you know.
