It's a real shame that this very simple truth—namely, that the media controls the narrative, not the facts—is so lost on so many Christians today. This truth was spoken with such clarity, almost half a century ago by Schaeffer, that it almost seems infantile, like it doesn't need to be said. Oh, but it does. Why have we fallen so deeply for these lies? Why have we set all our epistemic hopes on a group of elites who have no interest in the truth? As Schaeffer says below, "For many, what they see on television is more true than what they see with their eyes in the external world."

May we be different. I am posting this here for your edification.

Because people have been under mind control from their tvs and other forms of entertainment that come over the airwaves. Because some have unbelief and trust in princes and the kingdoms of this world rather than the plain Word of God. Others do not truly believe the whole world lies in wickedness.

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Dr Schaeffer makes a similar point in his book 'He is there and is not silent'. The point he makes there is that science today may be distorted by political causes. It is a real danger when science is no longer governed by a Biblical foundation.

It is worth reading Schaeffer's Trilogy which includes the book I mentioned above. The book is now half a century old but remains very relevant for worldview discussions today.
