Let me give you an example or two of why this proverb isn't applicable to this.
I have seen Michael Moore's previous skreed.

If I eat at a restaurant and get food poisoning and decide to no longer eat there is that folly and shame?

If I have fired a cheap handgun by some maker of Saturday Night Specials like Lorcin or Raven and I decide that from now on I will fire a Sig Sauer or Springfield Armory pistol...am I unwisely prejudging the cheap models to come out in the future?

If I have purchased Craftsman mowers and each one has broken down in short time and I then decide to buy an Exmark or Snapper mower because they are more durable. Am I making unfair judgment of future Craftsman mowers?

Anyone who wants to line Michael Moore's pockets with capitalist dollars is welcome to do so. Moore should laugh all the way to the bank. I just won't participate. I will spend that time making some money off my labor and skills.
