Missions for Unemployed and Single Men

Has anyone got an idea for a mission field, where homeless, young men are needed? I'm awfully grieved of being told I need an education in business or engineering, that I need to get married, or accumulate X years in a local ministry to be effective overseas. I know the gospel, and I've witnessed to countless people around me, in my everyday life. I'm shy at first, and that's probably why alphas insist I'm far from ready, but that's only because I'm very cautious about who I let into my counsel. To my way of thinking, that equips me for the long term: steady relationships, over time, building trust brick by brick. I could go on...

Any pointers? A google search turned up only statistics and a singles dating site for missionaries...

I am wanting to do that but, I just do not have the time.
