Actually are* learning, or is it better to say, have been learning? 0_0
 
I would say that reading the Puritans is going to prove a boon for anyone who takes such up in earnest, both practically and -with the Lord’s blessing- spiritually.
 
When the word earnest is spoken, I'm reminded of the need to read some Puritans carefully, such as John Owen's writings: living in a generation where sentence structure is different to contemporary English, and much more eloquent and formal, with a House of Commons like diction. As you say. Even more spiritual earnestness.
