The Papists, they hold that the sacrifice of Christ is to be offered often. They suppose that their priests make a new offering of the body and blood of Christ every Mass, which they hold to be a propitiatory sacrifice and the same that Christ offered upon the cross, which is very contrary to the holy Scriptures.

Jonathan Edwards, ‘The Sacrifice of Christ Acceptable’ (1729) in Sermons and Discourses, 1723-1729, ed. Kenneth P. Minkema, The Works of Jonathan Edwards, vol. 14 (New Haven CN: Yale University Press, 1997), p. 456.
For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14)

Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. (Hebrews 10:18)

Curious as to how the Papists attempt to square their catechism to Hebrews chapter 10?
