For those of you who enjoy reading Paul Johnson's work, here is something that may appeal to you. For those who are unfamilir, P Johnson is a British writer who specializes in history and analysis. He is quite good, and though he may not be a devout Christian, he knows Christianity, and better I might add than a host of its practitioners. One of the more enjoyable aspects of this article is his scarcely veiled contempt for the clueless Archbishop of Canterbury.

Enjoy.

Blade,
Yes, good articles there.
But Spectator newspaper is the actual source.
But if I don't link the article through LRC (which is a "registered" reader/link) nobody can read it without formally signing up with this Spectator website.

Paul Johnson is a conservative Anglo-Catholic and has written a number of good books from The History of the American People to the History of the Jews to Modern Times.
