Poole is reaffirming the "Harlot" hypothesis as some translate the verse as "Hostess"
It is true that scripture is clear on the subject, as the NT verses on Rahab attest.

Poole is just so interesting to read, this is a great project and I enjoy reading the excerpts when they are posted here.
