I'm in the Naha airport right now on WiFi waiting for my flight to Osaka en route to Australia (I land in Rockhampton tomorrow afternoon).
On my way to the airport I got an e-mail from a Marine telling me there was a problem with some paperwork. I responded while driving (not too smart I know). I forwarded the paperwork to my GMail account, got the document, edited it, and sent it back to him within an hour. This would have been impossible just a few years ago and my lack of ability to fix this problem would have been detrimental to one of my Marines. I was able to fix the problem within an hour and get the paperwork moving to help the Marine out.
Anyhow, I know some aspects of technology are intrusive and there are some parts of carrying my e-mail with me that I don't like but it's times like these that I'm very glad I'm so wired!
I'll probably have some time on deck in Osaka to surf and then it's off to the continent of Australia!
