Any articles or books on the pre-nicene doctrine of the Trinity, before Arius and the other heresies?
So opposed to the revisionist notion that there was 'diversity' in orthodoxy before this time.

JND Kelly's "Early Christian Doctrines" as well as Louis Berkhof's "History of Christian Doctrines." Chapter 9 of Cunningham's "Historical Theology vol 1" also has a segment on the early church's developing view of the Trinity.

Kelly is always good. Here are some additional titles:

John Behr, The Way to Nicaea (The Formation of Christian Theology, V. 1)
Aloys Grillmeier, Christ in Christian Tradition: From the Apostolic Age to Chalcedon (451), volume 1
Jaroslav Pelikan, The Christian Tradition: A History of the Development of Doctrine, Vol. 1: The Emergence of the Catholic Tradition (100-600).

Peace,
Alan

Pelikan and Kelly. Robert Jenson's Systematic Theology is masterful in the discussion of Justin and Origen. While Origen is deeply wrong on many, many big issues, find some key works on him and learn them. You will learn a lot about Trinity and Logos theology as well.
