I've heard that there were precursors to the doctrine of the Trinity in some Jewish theology prior to Christ. However, I've never seen this claim substantiated with reference to either primary or secondary sources. Does anyone know of resources on this that I could find and read?

Thanks Jacob!

Alfred Edersheim has an interesting and relevant chapter on this in The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah. See Book 1, Chapter 4; and then also Appendix 2 for some additional details.
