Reading Psalm 14 I struggle to make sense of it along with most others it seems. I was doing well with Dale Ralph Davis and Dick Lucas until I read Leupold.
David seems to be describing the fallen nature of man. This is general and all-inclusive as Paul reads it. The wicked who eat up the Lords people seem to be Israelites who do not call on the LORD (H3068)
My question is are these people portrayed as oppressed "righteous"? Or is it simply the exploitation within Israel, of one Israelite on another, that is intended? After all they would appear to be included amongst those who do not seek God???
