Puritan Board Freshman
After a recent thread (which has since been deleted), I think it bears reminding us all (myself included) that Puritan Board is not the church. I encourage each of us to get to know our elders and pastors, and to be known by them, so that when pastoral care is needed, that is where we can and should turn.

I love you all, and I enjoy our discussions here, but this is not my church, nor is it yours.

I agree with your sentiment, but we all confess to be part of the Church in order to join PB, so this can be a place to turn for Godly counsel. Sometimes a perspective outside one's congregation can be helpful. But, yes, it won't help if you don't also/first work on your relationship with your elders in your congregation.

It might be a good idea to message users directly with responses when they are struggling through personal/family issues.
