Here are some quotes about repentance:

Repentance and faith are both necessary for salvation, but they are related to justification is different ways. Faith alone is the instrument by which Christ is received and rested on as Savior. Justification is by faith, not by repentance. But faith (and therefore justification) cannot exist without repentance. Repentance is as necessary to salvation by faith as the ankle is to walking. The one does not act apart from the other. I cannot come to Christ in faith without turning from sin in repentance.
The Grace of Repentance by Sinclair Ferguson, p.21

Calvin treats repentance in a manner similar to works. Works are not the ground of our justification or our salvation, but there will be no salvation without them. As one cannot have true faith without it yielding works, so one cannot have true faith without it simultaneously having repentance. In that sense, repentance is necessary for salvation. If there is no repentance, there is not only no fellowship with God, but also no salvation, precisely because the lack of repentance proves that there is no genuine faith.
Faith Alone by RC Sproul, p.171

Those are good quotes. Faith is the sole instrument that receives justification. Repentance accompanies faith, but repentance is not the instrument that receives justification. Repentance is one of the consequences of regeneration.
