Puritan Board Freshman
That great Reformed Methodist (aka jumbo shrimp) George Whitefield said,

"Works? Works? A man get to heaven by works? I would as soon think of climbing to the moon on a rope of sand!"

Actually Whitefield was not the only Reformed Methodist. A denomination called the Welsh Calvinistic Methodists existed in the US at one time. It merged with the old United Presbyterian Church of North America in the 1920s.

At one time I could almost make the case that Lloyd-Jones was a Reformed Methodist at heart. Anyway, he strongly recommended the works and preaching of the Welsh Calvinistic Methodists.

Thomas , I have the W. M. C. of F . Do you have it ? It is quite good . They later made some modifications to it in the late 1800's to allow room for those who took a Baptistic position .
