Removing videos and music from iTunes library

I would appreciate if anyone here could explain how to do this on an iPhone or iPad. My google skills have failed. I don't have a computer to sync with, and am trying to remove content from the library, so that it can't be downlaoded again.

Too bad they didn't make it as simple as in iTunes. Go to Settings-General-Storage * iCloud Usage then under Storage select Manage Storage. This will present a list of application and the amount of storage they use. Select Music to get a list of artists from there you can select an artist and drill down to the album and song. At any of these levels, swipe left to get delete for that artist, album, or song.
