It is wonderful to hear that this is in print.
Hawker was an Anglican cleric who defended the truth of the Gospel against the assaults of the Wesley wing of Methodism and against those Anglicans who had departed from the Reformed faith

Spurgeon,in his "On Commenting and Commentaries",said
he valued Hawker's devotional works very much.He related that Hawker saw Christ, and magnified Christ. He went on to say that even though Hawker went beyond in this regard;it is a good thing to go beyond.I have to rely on poor memory banks. The book is not with me.Someone else can be more exact.
Mr.R.H. was already on my list of authors to get around to.

I spoke with Mike Gaydosh, the owner and operater of Solid Ground Christian Books, today and he said there will be an additional volume to the Old Testment commentaries which are coming out about the middle of next month. That volume will be a conconrdance and dictionary that Hawker also published. I have found the New Testament commentaries to be very good. Bob Chapman
