This one is only for those interested in Samuel Rutherford or John Davenant. Rutherford quoted Davenant when commenting on Colossians 4:17 in opposition to the Independents:

To rebuke is a work of charity, rather then of power. Calvin saith, Good Ministers stand in need to be admonished. Davenant thinketh that Archippus in the absence of Epaphras his colleague was to supply his absence, and, it is like, was somewhat cold, and therefore needed to be admonished.
