Longtime Braves broadcaster Skip Caray dies at 68 - MLB - Yahoo! Sports

I remember as a kid listening to Harry Carey and Jack Buck announcing the Cardinal games in the 60's. They were quite entertaining. Now we have Chip Carey and Joe Buck to carry on the family traditions.

I listened to Skip for the 30 years. His voice will be missed.

My family had season tickets for years at the old stadium, in the lower upper deck and we could always move down to near 10 - 20 rows from the field because they played so poorly. One quote of Skips from 1979, "You have our permission to turn off the TV and go to bed now ... as long as you promise to patronize our sponsors." They were REALLY bad that year.
