T Tom77 Puritan Board Freshman Feb 6, 2004 #1 Has anyone read this? What are its strengths? Weaknesses?
C. Matthew McMahon Christian Preacher Feb 6, 2004 #2 I have it and have read parts. I have not had time to read it all. Strength - lucid and to the point, thoroughly biblical. Weakness - not comprehensive, nor interacting comprehensively with others. Still good though overall.

Puritan Sailor Puritan Board Doctor Feb 22, 2005 #4 I have read parts of it. He's good and sound. He represents a good understanding of Presbyterianism in his day. Though as Matt said above, he doesn't interact much with others (though this may not have been his purpose in writing the book anyway).
