Has anyone read this? What are its strengths? Weaknesses?

I have it and have read parts. I have not had time to read it all.

Strength - lucid and to the point, thoroughly biblical.

Weakness - not comprehensive, nor interacting comprehensively with others.

Still good though overall.

Are there more members on the board who read this theological work from John Brown ? Is it a great theological work to buy ?

I have read parts of it. He's good and sound. He represents a good understanding of Presbyterianism in his day. Though as Matt said above, he doesn't interact much with others (though this may not have been his purpose in writing the book anyway).
