Here is a poem I wrote years ago...

The Bridegroom

Affectionate, Afraid, Anxious, and Apprehensive.

Breathless, Cherished, Comforted, and
Confident.

Eager, Ecstatic, Excited and Expectant.

Soft eyes, Happy and Hopeful.

Joyful, Loved, and Optimistic.

Peaceful, Sincere, Starry-Eyed, Strong, and
Sweaty.

Tender, Thankful, Thrilled, and Touched.

Warm-hearted and Weepy, as he watches his
beloved bride walk down the aisle to stand beside
him as they begin their journey together.

turmeric;

I like that line!

I've had many folks comment on that line, most of them were laughing, because they could relate to it.

One of my neighbors asked if she could use the poem to put on the grooms cake when her husbands best friend got married.
