The denouement of the Psalms: God will turn the way of the wicked upside down (Psalms 146 through 150)

Symphonies sung about man, deliverance, sanctuary, wandering and coming home
Themes from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy have been laid out
One psalm turning over themes of praise for each of the five books of Psalms
Each like a fountain of truth, overflowing pouring into the next, a cascade of praise,
each fountain overflowing to the next
praise after praise after praise after praise after praise.
a celebration of a watercourse of waterfalls running to a happy state

Praise if pleasant and has beauty
God will turn the way of the wicked upside down
A broken world set right, the humble made beautiful and praising God

It is no defect of a great fountain that it overflow
also true of five fountain, one fountain spilling over with waterfall to the next

God heals and helps, the high for the low
God word is sent and hits the ground running, statutes given
Praise reflects off both heaven and earth, wind and waves, fire and clouds, every kind of beast and bird
Praise reflects off God's image bearers. God will beautify the humble
and they will dance praises before Him to every known instrument

Psalm 146
Praise the Lord, Soul !
While I live I will sing praise
about those false hopes…. a reminder
Do not put ultimate trust in other than God
not in men who sit at the seat of power of any mere man
when their time is done, it’s done
Trust in the God of Jacob is your help,
If he’s your helper, your hope
you are blessed by your creator and provider

The theme is lifted up twice in the book of Acts
He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them—
he remains faithful forever.

Mercies seen as this psalm pouring into the next:
giver of justice for the oppressed,
opens the eyes of the blind
lifts up the oppressed
watches over strangers
cares for the widow and fatherless
This is not the way of the world
God has turned the way of the wicked upside down.

And the praise from the second half of this song
overflows into the next

Psalm 147
Praise the Lord
It’s pleasant
Powerful and expansive but full of mercy
He who counts the stars and names them
he builds up Jerusalem
has his eye on the outcasts of Jerusalem
He will be their attending physician
He's mighty but lifted up the lowly
about those wicked…
He casts them to the ground
The chutes of the falls have crashed against the wicked

The mercies turn to a new praise
care for those who fear him
use the harp
sing about His word and provision
Grass on hills - he gives it rain
He feeds the animals - even when birds cry to Him he feeds them
And more valuable than the sparrow are those who fear Him.
God does not delight in strength of man or beast
He does delights in those who fear him and hope in him
And praise turns to the provision from the sky
His word is sent out to the earth on a mission
His word hits the ground running and runs fast
Making snow, frost, hail
He send his word again and they melt.
He makes the winds blow and waters flow
And his word comes to you,
To Jacob To Israel
An exclusive

And the provision and providence upheld by his word pours into the next Psalm and glory splashes off all the parts of creation

Psalm 148
Praise the Lord
Let praise come from heaven, heights, angels, stars, sun and moon
Let praise come from earth, from large sea creatures, and the deep
fire, hail, snow, and clouds
wild and domestic animals
mountains
trees, fruit trees and trees for wood

and the source of praise turns to people
Praise from kings, princes, old, young, young men, young women, children
praise from His saints and all people near him
praise the Lord

The praise is resting on the people, and that saintly praise splashes into the next psalm

Psalm 149
Praise if pleasant and has beauty
God will make the humble beautiful
Congregation painted with praise
Joying children, happy in their King, painted with praise as they play
Praising children dancing to the Lord, painted with praise in the day
Singing children playing the harp to God, painted with praise with syncopated pitch
And God happy, taking pleasure in them

They will be Joyful in glory , singing even in bed, painted beauty leaving nothing untouched
Early in Psalms, in the face of evil they were admonished 'be angry and sin not' on their beds (in Ps 4:4), and even swiming in tears in their beds (in Ps 6:6) where "...I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears...." now late in Psalms they sing. And having asked God to search out and remove any evil in them, even in their response to evil, an unusual honor.
A God patient and slow to anger will use them to carry out just response to evil,
they will justly execute a writ of judgment against nations, kings, peoples, and nobles

In these last five Psalms in Psalms, the Wicked are referenced seldom, one in ten verses at best
Now their absence is complete
From this point on, the wicked are seen no more, nor do they come to mind.
God has turned the way of the wicked upside down,
whether by redemption or retribution
Wicked have departed the book of Psalms, gone is the arrogant
And God given humble beauty from his people pours into dance before God
and that glory pours into the last Psalm

Psalm 150
Praise is seen in a people dancing
to the timbrel
surrounded by music of every known sort
under his sky
in his sanctuary

God heals and helps, the high for the low
God word is sent and hits the ground running, statutes given
Praise reflects off both heaven and earth, wind and waves, fire and clouds, every kind of beast and bird
Praise reflects off God's image bearers. God will beautify the humble
and they will dance praises before Him to every known instrument
praise after praise after praise after praise after praise
watercourse has come to a happy state

A broken world set right, the humble made beautiful and praising God
The way of the wicked has been turned upside down

Let everything with breath praise the Lord
