C. Matthew McMahon

Christian Preacher
The Doctrine of Conversion - by Nathaniel Vincent (1639-1697)

This is a penetrating treatise on conversion and regeneration. Not only does Vincent, in puritan style, exhort sinners to repent and be converted, but he instructs Christians on how conversion takes place in God's mysterious work of redemption. This is a simple but powerful puritan work.

Very few works in general have been published by Nathaniel Vincent in our day. That will change. We are working on a pile of his works. He is insightful, easy to read, and spiritually uplifting in his descriptions of Christ and God. His works should not be missed.

My wife helps me proof these puritan works. In reading this one she said, "No doubt one of the best reads all year. I'll read all of Vincent's works."
