The drama is in the doctrine baby, as Dorthy Sayers has said (except for the baby part)! Kevin Vanhoozer's book,The Drama of Doctrine, uses the metaphor of theatre to elucidate the drama of doctrine. The script (Bible) informs our practice, and, in order for it to do so, the dramatis personae(you and me) need to understand the script to perform it.
This book is a blow to those who try to set up a dichotomy between belief and practice. Although many here already don't believe in such a dichotomy, this book is nonetheless a worthy read. It's full of provocative ways of understanding the drama of doctrine.
