The Huguenots - Geoffrey Treasure

Good evening.

Would anyone happen to be familiar with The Huguenots by Geoffrey Treasure? I'm interested in a thorough history of the Huguenots, so I would welcome any other recommendations as well.

I'm not really, but I do know St. Augustine Florida has some interesting history about them. They had the first European settlement in North America, located by Jacksonville. Sadly, when the Spanish landed at St. Augustine, they conquered the Huguenot settlement, and demanded that they convert to Romanism. They didn't, and that was the end of them.

Yes, I've read it and really enjoyed it. One thing that will strike you is the way the French regime little by little rolled away the freedoms of the Huguenots and progressively repressed them into near-extinction. The strategy is a familiar one.
