Speaking of Poole, is the Henrickson edition as good as the Banner of Truth edition?

Here's the price for the Henrickson edition at CBD:

Ivan -- I just have the Hendrickson edition, but I've looked at the BoT edition and I think one would be happy to have either. :pilgrim:

Thank you, Andrew. With Spurgeon's recommendation someone like me has to consider buying Poole!

You're welcome, Ivan! BTW, our website was updated today to highlight the publication of Volume 2 of Poole's Synopsis. We expect to complete Genesis in January 2008, dv.

Well, we are still aiming to get volume 3 out as soon as possible, dv.

I have a friend who is planning to read the entire Synopsis translation as it comes out, if the Lord enables him to persevere. I don't know many who have done so, but I did come across this recently in a "Memoir of the Life of Daniel Neal," concerning John Evans:

In this retirement he read over entire Mr. Pole's Latin Synopsis, in five volumes folio, which laid the foundation of his great skill in Scripture criticism, and all the Christian writers of the three first centuries, under the direction of the learned Mr. James Owen.

Well, we are getting closer to the publication of volume 3, which will complete the Genesis portion of the Synopsis. It is the biggest volume so far. There are 23 pages devoted to Gen. 49.10 alone. Soon, dv!
