I ran into this linked article from Bible Design Blog in a Facebook post discussing the merits of one as opposed to the other. While I utilize electronic media to a great extent, when it comes to reading books I prefer hard copy. In my church I'm thankful we use hymnals and there are no screens with lyrics on 'sentimental' backgrounds. Any thoughts on the relatively recent phenomena of electronic devices at the pulpit and in the pew ?

I like the musical notation in hymn books to help me with new tunes. I don't really care for looking down most of the song, and quite a few times I've forgotten to grab a hymnal from the front and have to go back to get one. But these are minor things. I'm not opposed to a screen if used rightly.
