This is just something that popped into my head, so i am interested in your thoughts.
Reading John Frame's new book started me thinking through the second commandment again. It kind of struck me that the only prescribed image of Christ is that found in believers...
Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; (NASB)
We are to look at the Body of Christ to see the image of Christ, not pictures.
Just as when Christ was the image bearer there were no images made, so while we are the image bearer there should be no images made.
