Tomas Adams, in his commentary on 2nd Peter, says "But when I read that Fevardentius reports; how many of the Polonians have derogated from this eternal Deity of Christ"

1) What exactly did the poloians get wrong about the Deity of Christ?

2) when and where did polonius live?

3) why where they important to Thomas Adams?

In context "Polonian" appears to simply be a misnomer for "Polish"

"Here is then full testimony that Christ is God, against the Arrians. But when I reade that Fevardentius reports; how many of the Polonians have deroga∣ted from this eternall Deitie of Christ.."

This is clearly a reference to the Polish Brethren, the most notorious branch of 17th Century Arians/Socinians.

I'm not sure "misnomer" is accurate. It is commonly used to refer to Polish people and communities outside of Poland but the term itself apparently was used to identify Poland as early as the middle ages. I thought that perhaps "archaic" might be a more fit descriptive of this usage, although the term appears to still have currency per this Polish site: https://ipn.gov.pl/en/szukaj?search=30289183&sort=2&order=1&ile=20
