In one of B. B. Warfield essays, he cites a quotation from A. A. Hodge that was originally published in The Presbyterian, 1 April 1876. As far as I am aware, this reference was not an April fool ;), yet I am having a hard job tracking down the periodical/newspaper wherein it was originally published. Does anyone here know anything about this publication?

PCA Historical center notes this entry for such a title (not finding on google or archives; but newspaper may be the reason):
    The Presbyterian [newspaper]
Philadelphia and New York: William S. Martien
    Series Run: v. 1, n. 1 (Feb. 16, 1831) - v. 95, n. 24 (June 11, 1925)
    Holdings: v. 8, n. 4 (27 Jan 1838) - v. 9, n. 51 (28 Dec 1839)
    Lacking: most
Note: Issues are bound as a single volume

Yeah, I saw that reference. There is nothing on Hathi either. When I had access to various American historical newspaper archives online, I never recall seeing this one available.

It's on microfilm by ATLA; you might check to see if maybe it is digital now via their Atlas database.
