The sending of Moses and the Apostles - what is God's name?

Reading the great commission in Matt. 28:16-20, I can't help but think there is a parallel with Moses and the burning bush.

In both cases, God is sending out his messengers and he gives them the name of the one who commissioned them. To Moses he gives the name "I am" and to the Apostles he gives "the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Interestingly, "I am" can correspond to the one ousia and "the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" to the three hypostases.

Am I off base here or did Jesus not have this in mind when telling them to baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit?

Certainly there is a formal parallel, given that each one is an actual commission by a higher authority unto a lower one for the purpose declared. As for invocation of God by Name, in either case again it is a reference to the superior authority which makes the purpose and sends the official agent. If one should ask the basis of or the right for the action taken or words spoken, the man sent appeals to the Name of he who (it is claimed) stands to authorize what the man has said or done.
