theology of the church books?

Hi! I am looking for some books that deal with the theology of the church/ekklesia based on the text in Scripture. Now I am a Baptist (not that I am interested in only Baptist authors) but I probably would not agree with those books with a very high church view but I would prefer one that as much as possible deals with the aspects of the church that all Biblical Christians could agree on. IE, instead of focusing on the time of baptism, which Christians will disagree about, focus on the importance of baptism which all Biblical Christians agree with.

This is a resource that I think anyone can make use of, Presbyterian or not. Certainly, if you believe the church began in Genesis, it should be useful.

The Scripture doctrine of the church (Open Library) (see "read online" link upper right). Ignore the bits that touch on baptism, if you must.
