Lay no weight on the quantity of your prayers; that is to say, how long or how many they are. These things avail nothing with God, by whom prayers are not measured, but weighed. And what makes the weight in them is the faith, fervency, and humility therein; so that one of those groanings mentioned, Rom. viii. 26, will down-weigh a whole day’s prayers, in which these things are wanting. Do you labour to get near God in prayer, and press forward to obtain that.

For the reference, see Thomas Boston on quality, not quanity in prayer.

Thank you for the quote, very important to remember.
What’s pom. viii 26? I’ve not seen “pom.” before.

I'm sure it was intended to be Rom. viii 26 - Daniel may have copied from a scanned PDF or something of the sort.

It should be Rom. As Jerrod notes, these errors occur when you copy from a scanned PDF. I try to catch them, but the odd one slips through the net. Thanks for spotting it.
