This book, originally published in 1984, consists of five lectures Still gave in 1964 and 1965 to theological students. In only 152 pages, he gives a very insightful account of what it is a pastor is responsible to do. William Still (1911-1997) was pastor of Gilcomston South Church of Scotland in Aberdeen for 52 years (1945-1997) until just a few months before his death.
